HAPPY NEW YEAR!

I wish everyone a very happy New Year!

Wonderful vintage illustrations

Last year I went to the most famous amusement park in Denmark called Tivoli. It’s located in central Copenhagen and is a very old and beloved park. Well, a lot of the park’s attractions, signs and decorations are designed by the Danish artist Richardt Branderup. He has a very lovely and unique style, so when I came across a bunch of postcards with his designs I had to buy some for my design collection. They depict some of Tivoli’s main characters called Harlequin and Columbine as well as other beloved characters. Richardt Branderup also designed a Hans Christian Andersen attraction for Tivoli where you get to see a lot of his fairy tales come to life. I’ll see if I can get some pictures of the park the next time I’m there, but for now you can enjoy the postcards.

Les Anis de Flavigny

I came across these lovely candies in Galeries Lafayette in Paris. They come in delicate oval tin boxes adorned with beautiful illustrations. Not only do they taste yummy and come in a variety of flavors, they also have a single delicate anis seed in the middle which makes the candies even more special. The story of the Les anis de Flavigny is also lovely and adds to the experience of eating the candies. The packaging can easily be reused as pillboxes, or as storage for small keepsakes.

Super cute Blythe outfits

Recently I bought my first ever Blythe doll. I’ve wanted one since I saw her in an ad campaign some years ago. Her big bright eyes and cute outfits made her very recognizable and she has become a fashion doll icon both in Japan and the US. My own Blythe doll is a Pow Wow Poncho named Amy that I’m currently customizing. So I’ve been looking for good Blythe shops online and came across the most amazing store called Somedoll. They make very detailed and colorful custom outfits in both kawaii and street styles. They also make gorgeous custom dolls and have recently created a Blythe Pinocchio that is just awesome. So if your Blythe girl needs a new outfit to match her street smarts, then Somedoll is the place to go.

My work

I’ve been very busy working lately. Here’s what my in-game character looks like at the moment. Made all the clothes and stuff myself. It’s part of what I do. I’m also the editor and I love it. I’ve also added some miscellaneous pics of some game characters. I love trying to figure out what the kids like and will be most excited about having in the game. I try to make as many different designs as possible and I've come to know so much more about fashion than I ever imagined. I've been working with online games and fashion since 2005 and I just can't seem to shake it. It just sticks with me - thankfully.

Beautiful Parisian furniture at Graine d’Intérieur

Whenever I'm in Paris I have to visit Graine d'Intérieur. They have such beautiful and detailed furniture and home decoration items. I know it's impossible for me to buy most of it as I live in Denmark, but it's definitely worth a visit. You can buy lots of knick knacks for your home. Last time I bought fake spots of flowery grass as well as a beautiful photo album. Their website is in French but have a look anyway Graine d'Intérieur.
